RIDER QUOTES
Geoff Braico – Pro E3 Class
“Since I haven’t had much time on the Husaberg I tried to ride smart at the opening round, and get through it, testing the bikes ability and handling in a racing environment,” said Braico. “This worked well for me with a third place in the E3 class and seventh overall.

“Things didn’t go as smoothly at round two, I had a few annoying crashes, and a few clutch issues that cost me a lot of time.  Overall I didn’t ride too bad considering I have only ridden the bike for two weeks leading up to the opening round, but I’m definitely looking to improve, and position myself on top of the podium.

“Prior to the next round of the AORC, I’ll be racing in the Australian Four Day Enduro (A4DE), and by then I’m sure I will have bonded with the bike a lot more to bring out a much more competitive side to my racing.”

Amiel Cavalier – E2 Expert Class
“I’m not new to Husaberg  - I’ve been riding with The Dirt Bike Factory as a privateer in the past, and I entered a few rounds of the AORC last year on a 250 in the expert E1 class,” said Cavalier.  “For 2010 I stepped up to the FE 450 to ride in the E2 (Expert Class), it was my first ever cross country race, and the conditions were very trying.

“Having the extra power of a 450 was something I really enjoyed - it got me through the mud easier.  I noticed that I became stronger towards the end of the race once I got a flow going.  I would still put it down as the toughest day of racing I have ever had, and the conditions really took it out of me, overall I was stoked to finish second in class.

“The rain at Port Macquarie continued overnight between rounds, and was probably worse for round two, because we used part of round one’s course again.  It took me some time to get into the swing of things for the sprint format, and I had a few crashes which cost me a fair bit of time, but I still ended up finishing second in class again.

“Overall these were my best results in racing to date and I’m really thankful to everyone who supported my entry into the AORC.”
