The basic design of the Husaberg engines is focused upon a minimum of weight on all moving objects; crankshafts, pistons, valve train and transmission, and a maximum of energy flow. The latter meaning the best possible feed of fuel and air, an optimized combustion and the best possible evacuation of consumed energy. The cylinder head and the valve train; valves, rocker arms and timing chain, all designed according to this motto. A tremendous power output and torque curves which would have made Rudolf Diesel envious and you to really enjoy the ride.
One major part of the process of combustion is the ignition. For 2005 we use Kokusan on all Husaberg models. Our goal was to increase the quality and reliability of the whole system. In connection with the TPS (throttle position sensor) you will get a very direct feeling for every throttle position you choose. The ignition curve is split into 8 different settings for every throttle position to get the maximum power output at every number of revolutions. |

 | Besides, the Kokusan ignition has many other advantages:
| | Larger distance between spark coil and CDI box, therfore no electric
| | magnetic interferences
| | Rotor made of one single part
| | 16 bit processor
| | Lower starter rpm |
