Graham Jarvis, Alfredo Gomez and Xavier Galindo take to the start of The Tough One, England on Saturday, January 12th as the three official squad members of the exciting, newly formed Husaberg Extreme Racing Team.

For the first time ever Husaberg, who in 2012 enjoyed their most successful season ever in the Enduro World Championship, will field an official, factory supported, extreme enduro team as they increase their involvement in the extreme enduro sporting sector.

Bringing together a multinational team of experienced extreme enduro racers, the squad will make its first official outing at the opening extreme enduro event of 2013 – The Tough One. With the event featuring many of the world’s top extreme enduro contenders, Jarvis, Gomez and Galindo are all looking to make a positive start to their 2013 season.

Graham Jarvis is a rider that needs little introduction. As the man that’s lead Husaberg’s charge in extreme enduro events around the globe, the quiet Englishman is without doubt the world’s best. Victories in all but one of the seven major extreme enduro events have established the former trials rider as the competitor to beat. With an envious ability to make the difficult look easy Graham is hopeful of continued success in 2013.

Alfredo Gomez is a relative newcomer to extreme enduro racing, but a rider that hopes to deliver much in 2013. Switching away from trials to extreme enduro, just like Jarvis, the enthusiastic Spaniard is eager to sink his teeth into a full schedule of extreme races. 2012 saw Gomez focus exclusively on enduro for the first time ever, going on to top the Spanish Junior Enduro Championship, as well as placing second overall in the Wild Rock Extreme event in Australia. In addition he competed in the International Six Days Enduro in Germany while also showcasing his talents in the SuperEnduro World Championship.

Xavi Galindo, the team’s second Spaniard, has battled his way through numerous seasons of extreme enduro competition – and has the scars to prove it. With his sporting background in motocross, the laid back 31-year-old knows the sport of extreme enduro inside out following numerous seasons of international competition, but still enjoys the varied challenges extreme enduro events offer.

The Husaberg Extreme Racing Team will be present at all major extreme enduro races in 2013.

Oliver Göhring, Husaberg General Manager: “To be officially supporting Graham Jarvis, Alfredo Gomez and Xavi Galindo in 2013 represents an exciting new sporting chapter for Husaberg. We’ve enjoyed a great amount of extreme enduro success in the past few years, and thanks to the talents of Graham Jarvis Husaberg has picked up countless victories around the world. For the first time ever Husaberg will have an official extreme team, which we are confident will enjoy notable continued success. Being able to directly assist our riders allows us to have a much more hands on approach to the support we will offer, which in turn ensures our riders are better prepared for the racing challenges that await. Also, we are able to pair Graham, who is hugely experienced and knowledgeable, with an up-and-coming talent like Alfredo. The huge popularity of the extreme enduro scene means that together with our Enduro World Championship Husaberg is now directly involved at the very highest level in all types of enduro sport.”
